Anxiety & Stress Related Disorders

I am experienced in treating anxiety and stress related disorders, which can be overwhelming and disruptive to an individual's daily life. I understand the unique challenges that individuals from diverse backgrounds may face when seeking treatment for anxiety and stress. As a therapist, I utilize a variety of techniques to help individuals manage and overcome their anxiety and worries. Some of the techniques I use include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and relaxation techniques such as deep breathing and progressive muscle relaxation. I also incorporate elements of compassion-focused therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy to help clients increase their emotional flexibility and improve their overall well-being. I am here to support and guide you through this process, and I am confident that together we can work towards a better quality of life.

Depression & Grief 

When treating depression and grief, I help individuals develop useful tools and strategies to manage difficult emotions, thoughts and situations. I understand that these issues can be challenging and can significantly impact an individual's sense of worth and purpose, which is why I am here to provide support and guidance. My therapeutic framework includes using person-centered and humanistic approaches, as well as evidence-based treatments (EBT) such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to help individuals understand their own experience with depression and grief, cope with their emotional struggles, improve their sense of well-being, and rediscover what brings meaning to their lives.

Marriage & Relationship Issues

I specialize in helping individuals and couples navigate and resolve issues related to relationships and marriage dynamics. I understand that these issues can be complex and can have a significant impact on an individual's sense of life satisfaction, which is why I am here to provide support and guidance. My approach to treatment includes using family therapy interventions within a systemic approach to help individuals and couples better understand and cope with interpersonal conflicts and improve communication in their relationships. I also utilize techniques such as empathy-building and active listening to help individuals develop the skills they need to better connect with and support one another. Through counseling, anyone can learn to navigate and overcome the challenges they face in their relationships.

 
Life Transitions & Personal Growth 

I am experienced in helping individuals navigate and make positive changes during life transitions, as well as address issues related to personal growth. I understand that these transitions can be challenging and can impact an individual's sense of self and well-being, which is why I am here to provide support and guidance. My treatment approach is person-centered and strength-based, and includes goal-setting, cognitive restructuring and mindfulness-based techniques to help individuals identify and work towards their personal growth goals, navigate life transitions, and make a positive change in their lives.

LGBTQIA+

I have a special interest in helping LGBTQIA+ clients navigate and address issues related to their identity and the unique challenges they may face. I understand that these issues can be complex and may require a sensitive and culturally-informed approach, which is why I am here to provide support and guidance. I utilize affirmative therapy, a strength-based approach and verbal and non-verbal positive communication to create a safe, inclusive, and empowering space where LGBTQIA+ clients can explore their true selves and experiences, cope with barriers they may face related to their identity and minority status, and strengthen their sense of belonging.

My therapeutic approach is humanistic, inclusive, and strength-based, focusing on supporting your use of skills and resources to make the changes you want to see in yourself. It has always been of great importance for me to provide a welcoming, empathetic, and safe space where your needs, struggles, and goals are heard and understood. Many of my clients struggle to feel connected in their relationships or find the right balance in their daily lives; they may be facing moments of transition and life changes, like moving from another Country, or understanding and accepting their own identity. These and other challenges could lead to  experiencing anxiety, depression, and stress that can be difficult to cope with. Let me help you walk this path of personal growth and self-awareness toward improving your sense of well-being.
