I specialize in working with adult clients --- individuals and couples --- from different cultural backgrounds. As a bilingual native Spanish speaker, I am optimally suited to work with the Latinx/Hispanic communities. In addition, as a person who immigrated to the United States of America, I have first hand experience in Life Transitions, Stress, and the Minority-pertaining issues immigrants face when adjusting to life in the USA. Having grown up in a Spanish speaking Country, I communicate in a way that alleviates the stress of language barriers for my Latinx/Hispanic clients which is normally present with monolingual practitioners. Further, I have a professional focus in working with individuals that identify as LGBTQ, affirming their social, sexual and gender identities. With over 20 years of experience in the therapeutic field, I have worked with a wide variety of mental health struggles. I utilize this wealth of insight and knowledge to help my clients succeed and persevere through mental and emotional barriers and hardships.
